After a week of profoundly shocking events in the UK, one positive that seemed to blossom through these deeply worrying times was the incredible celebration of the LGBT Pride festival. With moving events like the Policeman proposing to his boyfriend right in the middle of the festival going viral, its clear to see that there is a bright future ahead and it is being lead by the youth.
One track released by Vic Mensa called ‘Free Love’ – who we previously featured on Carbon Copy (see HERE) – is a very mature outlook on equality and the need for change. Alongside the release of the track he published a heartfelt note about what LGBT rights means to him (see below). Raising an important point that even if you’re not directly effected by the inequality faced by the LGBT community, you will know somebody who it does effect and for that reason it is important to all of us. Enjoy the track below and be sure to read the full note by Vic Mensa below, stay proud, one love!
